They say you need to kiss a lot of frogs to meet your prince. This is my journey through the pond.

B&T

When I first moved to the City 6 years ago, the concept of B&T (Bridge and Tunnel) was completely foreign to me. Even more foreign was the thought that someone was somehow undatable simply because they lived across the river. But perhaps I've become a true New Yorker because now I agree 100%.

Take for example the "Brain Surgeon." (Note: he's not actually a doctor, just someone in need of a brain transplant) The boy lived out on Long Island somewhere (it really doesn't matter where, the point is the Brain Surgeon didn't live in the City). Living life by the LIRR schedule and worrying about catching the train, just doesn't seem very fun to me. But even less fun was getting stuck with the Brain Surgeon in my apartment after a "late night." There's something nice about being able to send a drunk guy home in a cab... but when you're with B&T, you get stuck with the drunk guy at your apartment or end up being a b#@%!

But now, have I gone to a new extreme? Is there something inherrently wrong with limiting myself to the Upper Westside?
